Art Laffer Free Trade vs. Protectionism A Public Lecture on International Trade

Students (as well as faculty, staff, and the general public) are invited to attend a public lecture, sponsored by the PERI and the Young Americas Foundation, on Free Trade vs. Protectionism by Dr. Art Laffer. Dr. Laffer is a prominent political economist who served as an economic advisor to President Ronald Reagan, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and California Governor Jerry Brown. He is best known for developing the Laffer Curve, a theory regarding the relationship between tax rates and the amount of tax revenue collected.
